First video post: another introduction.

March 6, 2015 § 2 Comments

For those bookworms who have been living under a rock – or just a very full bookshelf – there is a community of readers on YouTube.  They post videos about what they’ve been reading, what they plan to read, and bookish topics in general, and they call themselves Booktube.  The video below is my introduction to Booktube…

(“TBR” stands for to-be-read.)

Notes for the future:

1. Speak louder.

2. Work on those editing skills.

3. Make an intro and an “outro.”

Expect more blog posts from me Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and another video next Thursday!  Have a lovely weekend, dear readers!

on a semi-related note: I think your volume is just fine. I’ve watched some you tubers who start each video with “HIIIIIIII!” and though the content is good, the volume is…not so good. Your current volume isn’t TOO quiet, but it’s quiet and deliberate enough to make me pause my other music and lean in a little (in a good way). It reminds me of a storyteller I met once, who doesn’t have a loud “HI GUYS!” voice, but he’s clear and those listening tend to lean in not from “I can’t hear him,” but “oh this is going to be good.”
